Taqueria El Pollo Loco Jr.: Authentic Mexican Tacos and Tortas in Rexburg, ID

Having lived in Mexico, I can honestly say that their food is amazing and their tacos al pastor are the closest in quality I've had since returning to the United States. Their tortas are also incredibly filling and satisfying. It's hard to find a good torta in the US, and these aren't bad. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is their horchata. It doesn't taste fresh, but honestly, it's really hard to find some good horchata and everywhere in Rexburg seems to suffer from this. But all in all, I seriously recommended their food truck, especially for their tacos al pastor, and I will be returning for their gorditas. Give them a try!

This place is delicious!!! It’s the best Mexican place in Idaho. The food is well seasoned and tastes authentic. The owners and staff are super friendly and accommodating! Love this place.

If you're looking for the best tacos in Rexburg, El Pollo Loco Jr is definitely the place! My wife and I drove from Idaho Falls to Rexburg to eat here and we've been here many times. I've visited so much I have tasted everything in the menu, and you can't go wrong with your choice. If you're really hungry, I would recommend the burrito or the torta since they are pretty big, but you could also get multiple items to try it all. The tacos are delicious and everything is authentic.

I’ve eaten here dozens of times and it for sure is the best bang for your buck in Rexburg. I go here at least twice a week and have never had any issue. Service is spectacular and the food is amazing. The people working in the kitchen are the the happiest and super cheerful every single time. 10/10 do recommend for your Mexican cravings.

I recently got back from Mexico and was looking for a good taco shop and I found an incredible place! The tacos are 9/10 tacos and that's very high praise for me. I was super impressed and will be returning soon! The guy did try to charge me 30 dollars for my order but I was on top of it so no problem.

It's hard to find good tamales at restaurants and stuff. These are probably the best tamales I've had that were not homemade. It's $10 for 6. They are quite filling and pretty spicy in my opinion hahaha. The staff is super friendly and chill, and they had the tamales ready in 5 minutes or so. I'll definitely come back to try other items. EDIT: I tried the tacos and they are very good! They put a lot of meat in them (see pictures) so that's great. Something I would say is that the chorizo is a bit too salty, and the green sauce is a bit spicier than other restaurants. I didn't have any problems with parking (I went around 5pm)

A food truck that not only hits the spot but scratched that itch for good quality Mexican food. Prices were reasonable. Variety was great (They had awesome tamales) Atmosphere was fine. We ate outside. I would definitely return if in the area again.
